Once again, Sebille meets the challenge of advertising head-on, this time placing the passerby directly in the path of the impressive ""Gallia,"" one of the quad-screw mail steamers in the service of the South Atlantic Navigation company. Impressive as she slices her way through the open seas, Sebille emphasizes the ship's grandeur with the tried and true flock of seagulls, as well as the galleon on the horizon, appropriately dwarfed and outdistanced by the newer technology while simultaneously providing a clear tie to dependability and tradition. Though present in name only, the Gallia's sister ship, the Lutetia was the fastest ship on the South American route in the days prior to WWI. During the First World War, while serving as an auxillary cruiser in the French Navy, the Gallia was torpedoed by the German submarine U-35 thirty miles west of Sardinia and sank extremely quickly, claiming more than six hundred lives.
