A giant eye peers through railroad ties in this Constructivist poster exhorting railroad workers to be vigilant in their efforts. The text runs from the red panel on the top to the one on bottom--'Long live labor discipline in the work of the railroads' with the words on the ties repeating the theme 'Keep your eye on the state of the railroad tracks'. There is more than a work-incentive message being communicated here. Big Brother was real: At this time in Soviet Russia, many rail workers were put on trial for sabotage--without any evidence and, actually, with only the pretense of a trial--and shipped to labor camps or executed. This warning has as much to do with workers' security as with passengers' safety. Art Prints are printed on heavy matte finish German art paper using the finest Canon archival inks. Quality Frame with a single white matboard and Acrylic glazing.

.

Stretched Canvas is stretched by hand over 1.5" thick pine bars and printed on cotton poly matte finish canvas. Each is canvas hand coated with Hahnemuhle UV/Archive coating, these are Swiss quality best in industry canvases.
