A Chrysler roadster breezes along against a humorously stylized backdrop of spherical clouds and triangular mountains in an inviting automotive fantasy. Ernst, a posterist and painter, studied in Florence and under Grasset in Paris, where he became acquainted with Steinlen and with the Fauves and Cubists. In 1918 he returned to Switzerland. He worked steadily for Trub in Aarau for decades, and continued to paint. Art Prints are printed on heavy matte finish German art paper using the finest Canon archival inks.
