Faced with the concept of ""liberator,"" other designers might have thought of a male figure (as, in fact, can be seen on the firm's logo), but Pal finds a way to inveigle one of his curvaceous beauties into the scene. A most definitive sign of the popularity of this design is the fact that abundant reprintings were executed by several different printing firms utilizing the talents of various other posterists to do nothing but redraw Pal's original artwork, such as this Charles Tichon variant or another by Emile Clouet. What remains identical in every version is the resolute ""Don't mess with me, Mister"" look of the sturdy ""Soldat Gaulois,"" standing guard with her awesome armory of sword, shield and helmut, and of course, Liberator bicycle. Rarely has the saying ""If it ain't broke, don't fix it"" been applied with such resolute beauty. Art Prints are printed on heavy matte finish German art paper using the finest Canon archival inks. Quality Frame with a single white matboard and Acrylic glazing.
