Four satisfied Cottereau customers - a pair on bicycles and a couple in a motocyclette - wave in passing. Not only are the twosomes handsome, each is charmingly dressed for its mode of transport: The bikers are casual - he in his straw boater, she in knickers with plaid hose and sporty little hat; the motoring couple is more politely attired. Loius Cottereau, born in Angers, was a French speed demon possessed of an extraordinary will that enabled him to win despite his short stature. The artists name is not clear; it could well be Lerckel. Credit is also given to A. Gallice who transferred the artists image onto the stones. Rare! Art Prints are printed on heavy matte finish German art paper using the finest Canon archival inks. Quality Frame with a single white matboard and Acrylic glazing.
